On January 22, the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia Andrej Plenkovic at the other party's request in Davos.

President Ilham Aliyev thanked the Prime Minister of Croatia for his participation in COP29. During the conversation, it was emphasized that very important decisions were made to advance the global climate agenda within the framework of COP29.
The President of Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Croatia highly appreciated the current level of relations between our countries and especially noted the cooperation in the field of energy.
The role played by Azerbaijan in the energy security of Croatia today, the export of oil and gas from our country to Croatia was particularly emphasized, and the prospects of increasing the volume of gas exports were discussed.
The head of state noted that today Azerbaijan exports gas to 10 European countries, eight of which are EU member countries. It was emphasized that Azerbaijan was evaluated by the European Union as a Pan-European energy supplier.
At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on the development of cooperation between our countries in various fields and the issue of Azerbaijan's relations with the European Union, the role of the intergovernmental commission was noted.
The Prime Minister of Croatia invited the head of state for an official visit to his country.
