Speaker of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova met with the Speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Lorenzo Fontana during her official visit to the Republic of Italy.

Axar.az reports that at the meeting, views were exchanged on relations between countries and parliaments.

During the conversation, the exceptional role of political contacts, including high-level visits and meetings, in the development of our relations was noted, and it was emphasized that mutual visits, especially at the level of presidents, are important in raising relations to a qualitatively new stage.

Speaker of Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova invited Chairman of the Chamber of Deputies Lorenzo Fontana to visit Azerbaijan. The invitation was accepted with pleasure.

At the meeting, opinions were exchanged on several issues of mutual interest, including the current situation in the region and wider geography.
