On January 23, President Ilham Aliyev made a phone call to the President of the Republic of Turkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

Axar.az reports that the Press Service of the President provided this information.

The President of Azerbaijan expressed his deep condolences to President Erdogan over the tragic fire that occurred at a hotel in the Kartalkaya ski resort in Bolu province, which claimed the lives of many people.

He prayed for mercy upon the victims of this horrific tragedy and wished a speedy recovery for the injured.

President Ilham Aliyev also noted that on January 21, he had sent a condolence letter to the President of Turkiye regarding the tragedy.

President Erdogan expressed his gratitude for the attention and condolences, emphasizing that Turkiye and Azerbaijan always stand by each other and will continue to do so in the future.

During the phone call, the two leaders exchanged views on various aspects of bilateral relations.
