Armenia attaches great importance to maintaining normal relations with neighboring states and seeks to establish relations in the region based on open borders and partnership.

Axar.az reports that this was stated by the Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, during the fourth meeting of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Partnership Committee, held in the Armenian Parliament.

In this context, he recalled the Armenian government's "Crossroad of Peace" project:

"We are trying to pursue a balanced policy with all countries in the region and major power centers, emphasizing diversification in security, economy, energy, and other areas."
