Azerbaijan and Bahrain discuss cooperation

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov had a telephone conversation with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdullatif bin Rashid al-Zayani on March 19.

Axar.az reports that according to the information provided by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during the telephone conversation, views were exchanged on the current bilateral and multilateral cooperation agenda between the two countries, as well as regional and international security issues.

The ministers congratulated each other on the upcoming Novruz and Ramadan holidays and conveyed their best wishes.

The current state and prospects of Azerbaijani-Bahrain cooperation in various areas, including economic, trade, energy security, and cultural areas, as well as opportunities for cooperation within regional and international organizations, including the UN and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, were discussed.

Azerbaijan's active participation in Bahrain's "Manama Dialogue" initiative, as well as the importance of this platform in terms of discussing security problems, was especially noted.

The parties also discussed other issues of mutual interest.
