Despite progress in finalizing the peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, Russia is closely monitoring all reports of rising tensions at the countries' border.

Axar.az reports this was stated by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, during a briefing.

"We strongly urge our partners to exercise restraint and avoid any actions that could escalate the situation," Zakharova emphasized.

It should be noted that on March 13, Azerbaijan and Armenia announced that they had agreed on the text of a peace treaty. However, since March 16, Armenian Army units have systematically opened fire on the positions of the Azerbaijani Army.
