Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Thursday that Russia’s support for Iran’s leadership highlights the urgent need to strengthen sanctions against Moscow.

Axar.az reports, citing Reuters, he emphasized that Russia’s use of Iranian-made Shahed drones and munitions from North Korea demonstrates that Kyiv’s allies are not exerting enough pressure on the Kremlin.

Now, Russia is trying to save the Iranian nuclear program. There cannot be any other possible explanation for their public signals and their non-public activity on this," Zelensky said in his nightly video address.

"When Russia deploys weaponry from Tehran and Pyongyang, he said, "it is a clear sign that global solidarity and global pressure are not strong enough."
