Chairman of the People's Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has invited Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to visit Turkmenistan in 2026.

Axar.az reports that this was stated in Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov's congratulatory message to President Ilham Aliyev on the acceptance of Azerbaijan as a full member of the Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia.

"Dear Ilham Heydar oglu, we are waiting for you as a friend and brother at the 8th Consultative Meeting of Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan, which will be held in Turkmenistan next year," the congratulatory message said.
