Another Azerbaijani has been killed in the Russia–Ukraine war.

Axar.az reports that this was announced on social media by military blogger Tofiq Shahmuradov.

“Gafur Hasanov, captain of the medical service and former head of the medical unit of the Goranboy brigade during the 44-day Patriotic War, who was awarded the ‘Azerbaijan Flag’ Order and the ‘For the Motherland’ Medal for his heroism, has been killed in the war in Ukraine. After being discharged into the reserve from the Azerbaijani Army, he went to Russia and took part in the war in Ukraine as part of the Russian Armed Forces,” Shahmuradov said.
