Azerbaijani man missing in Russia-Ukraine war -

A resident of Baykhanli village in Jalilabad district, Mehdi Elchin oghlu Abbasov, has gone missing in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Axar.az informs Military blogger Tofig Shahmuradov shared the news on social media.

Abbasov reportedly signed a contract on April 3, 2025, to join the Russian Armed Forces and participate in the conflict in Ukraine. He last contacted his family on May 5, and has been unreachable since. Shahmuradov added that Abbasov went into combat with a 15-man group, all of whom are now missing.
