Euronews prepared report on Azerbaijani pakhlava - Video

Euronews TV has released a video feature on Azerbaijani pakhlava.

Axar.az reports that the dessert is presented as one of the symbols of the Novruz holiday.

"Azerbaijani pakhlava is a traditional pastry associated with the Novruz spring festival and widely prepared across the country. Made from thin layers of dough filled with nuts and sweetened with syrup, it reflects culinary practices passed down through generations.

Food experts note that each region has its own variation, while families often maintain distinct recipes. The preparation process involves multiple stages, including layering, baking and soaking with syrup.

Pakhlava is commonly shared during seasonal celebrations, where it plays a role in marking the arrival of spring and reinforcing cultural traditions," the report said.
