Two earthquakes recorded in the Caspian Sea

A 5.3-magnitude earthquake struck the Caspian Sea.

Axar.az informs that the information was released by the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC).

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 58 km from the city of Lankaran.

According to the Republican Seismological Service Center under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, the tremors were felt at intensity levels of 3–4 in Lankaran, Yardimli, Lerik, Astara, Jalilabad, and Neftchala. The earthquake was recorded at a depth of 70 km.

Another earthquake has recorded in the Caspian Sea.

According to the Earthquake Research Bureau of the Republican Seismological Service Center under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, the earthquake had a magnitude of 3.2 and a depth of 20 km.

No information has been received by the Ministry of Emergency Situations so far regarding any damage or casualties caused by the earthquake.
