Azerbaijan–Maldives visa-free travel enters into force

The required internal procedures for the entry into force of the “Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption for Citizens Holding Ordinary Passports between the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Government of the Republic of Maldives,” signed in New York on September 24, 2025, have been completed.

Axar.az informs that the agreement will enter into force on April 29, 2026, in accordance with its relevant provisions.

Under the agreement, citizens of Azerbaijan and the Maldives holding valid ordinary passports will be exempt from visa requirements for entry, exit, and transit, and may stay in the other country for up to 90 days from the date of entry.
