Brown bear spotted in Kalbajar village area -

A brown bear has been spotted in the area of Zulfugarli village in Azerbaijan’s Kalbajar district.

Axar.az reports, citing the Special Representation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Kalbajar, that the sighting was confirmed by local authorities.

Officials noted that the brown bear is one of the most common species in the Kalbajar mountains.

The species is also found in dense forests and high-altitude areas, as well as in the basins of the Tutkunchay and Tartar rivers.
