Azerbaijan, Armenia continue to set border delimitation

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has said that the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan will be delimited in line with the 1991 Alma-Ata Declaration.

Axar.az reports that Pashinyan noted that in 2024 both countries approved regulations governing the joint work of the border delimitation commissions based on the declaration.

“If the parties reach mutually acceptable solutions regarding changes to the border line during the delimitation process, all of this will be presented to the public as transparently as possible,” he said.

The prime minister also confirmed that the delimitation process will proceed step by step from north to south — from the Armenia-Azerbaijan border junction with Georgia to the border with Iran.

“Once individual sections are agreed upon, the relevant demarcation work will begin,” Pashinyan added
