Baku will host the largest Urban Expo in the history of the World Urban Forum as part of the 13th session of the event, WUF13, both in terms of scale and the number of participating organizations.
Axar.az reports that more than 163 organizations from 66 countries are expected to participate in the WUF13 Urban Expo.
Private sector representation at the forum will also reach a record level, with 45 companies set to take part, including 14 startups. For the first time, participants will also have access to a dedicated Business and Innovation Hub designed specifically for startups and innovative initiatives.
More than 44 mayors from cities around the world have registered to attend WUF13, underscoring the forum’s growing significance in global urban governance and international cooperation.
Civil society organizations will likewise have a strong presence at the event. A total of 42 civil society groups and foundations are expected to participate in the Urban Expo.
