Five Azerbaijanis killed in car crash in Georgia -

A serious road accident has occurred in the Azerbaijani-populated village of Birlik in Georgia’s Gardabani district.

Axar.az informs, citing APА, that a high-speed BMW crashed into a tree.

Five of the six people in the car died at the scene. One person was taken to hospital in critical condition but later also died.

Three of the victims were from Birlik village, including two brothers, while the others were from the Sagarejo region. All of them were Azerbaijani.

Georgia’s Ministry of Internal Affairs has launched an investigation into the accident.
