WUF13 in Baku demonstrates international commitment

First, Azerbaijan, as a distinctive country, does not have a very large land area or population, and is relatively small to medium-sized in the world context. However, Azerbaijan's hosting of such a major international event on the scale of a small to medium-sized country demonstrates its international commitment and responsibility, which I think is highly commendable and worthy of recognition.

Axar.az reports that Wang Xinping, Professor at the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Southeast University of China, which is one of the leading universities in the world in teaching architecture and urban planning, and head of the Industrial Park Planning Office of the Urban Planning Society of China, told Aertac.

“The topics of this conference are highly aligned with the urbanization and urban construction issues that Azerbaijan needs to address, as well as the achievements that Azerbaijan wishes to showcase to the world. Therefore, I believe this conference not only has a global significance but also plays an important role in Azerbaijan's national development. On one hand, it can effectively showcase Azerbaijan's successful experiences in urbanization and human settlement development, including protecting historical and cultural heritage and applying emerging technologies. On the other hand, this forum can help promote Azerbaijan's cooperation with countries around the world, including China, in the areas of urbanization and human settlement construction, contributing to a better future for humanity,” the expert noted.

“The Chinese government will also send a delegation, and both China's academic and business communities are actively responding to this conference, hoping to leverage this forum to advance cooperation between China and Azerbaijan in the field of urban development. I believe that Azerbaijan taking on this important conference with a sense of responsibility and commitment is commendable and worthy of recognition,” he mentioned.

“I look forward to achieving good international cooperation results through this event and further strengthening China-Azerbaijan cooperation. I hope that Azerbaijani colleagues can establish closer ties with China through this conference, engage in frequent exchanges in the future, learn from each other's strengths, and jointly promote bilateral development,” Professor Wang Xinping emphasized.
