The investors' roundtable on the topic "How can multilateral development banks contribute to the implementation of sustainable housing construction at the local level?" has started within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).

Axar.az informs that, citing Repоrt, the discussion is aimed at developing practical approaches that will enable cities to ensure an adequate, affordable, and climate-resilient housing stock.

The main topic of the session is the key urban system issue - the housing issue, which combines land use, infrastructure development, financial mechanisms, urban planning, and urban governance matters.

Special attention will be paid to sustainable and affordable housing construction, social and rental housing models, as well as the application of climate resilience principles, increasing energy efficiency, and the use of environmentally clean construction materials.

More than 40,000 people from 182 countries have registered to participate in the forum, which will continue until May 22.
