As part of the 13th Session of the United Nations World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, an event titled “Building Back Better: How Urban Reconstruction Created an Innovation Lab for Urban Transformation in Azerbaijan?” was held.

Axar.az informs, citing WUF13’s Facebook account, the event focused on international experience in urban development, sustainable planning and innovative urbanization approaches, as well as Azerbaijan’s successful model of urban transformation.

The event was held with the participation of Ramil Jahangirov, Head of the Project Management Department for the Liberated Territories at the State Committee on Urban Planning and Architecture; Aydin Karimov, Special Representative of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan in Shusha district; and Dunja Kovari-Binggeli, Founding Partner of sa_partners, a Swiss international urban planning and spatial planning agency.
