Russia ships cargo to Armenia via Azerbaijan transit

A new shipment from Russia to Armenia has been carried out via transit through Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports that the cargo, consisting of two wagons of urea weighing 126 tons and one wagon of flour weighing 67 tons, departed from the Bilajari Railway Station of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC.

The train will pass through the Boyuk Kasik station into Georgia and then continue toward Armenia.

It is noted that so far more than 28,000 tons of grain, over 4,000 tons of fertilizer, 133 tons of aluminum, and 68 tons of buckwheat have been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan.

In addition to transit cargo, Azerbaijan has also exported petroleum products to Armenia, including over 10,000 tons of diesel, 979 tons of AI-92 gasoline, and 2,955 tons of AI-95 gasoline to date.
