12 people resettled to Aghdara’s Ashagi Oratagh village

Twelve people from two families have been resettled to the village of Ashagi Oratagh in Azerbaijan’s Aghdara district.

Axar.az reports, citing the public relations department of the Khankendi-based Reconstruction, Construction and Management Service for Aghdara and Khojaly districts, that the residents were provided with the keys to their new homes.

The keys were handed over by Sabuhi Gahramanov, Deputy of the Special Representative of the President of Azerbaijan in Khankendi, Aghdara and Khojaly districts, and Mahmud Afandiyev, Deputy Director of the Reconstruction, Construction and Management Service.

As part of the event, Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) staff held an awareness session on mine safety for the resettled residents, informing them about the dangers of mines and unexploded ordnance, rules of conduct in hazardous areas, and steps to take if suspicious objects are found.

It should be noted that on June 19, 18 families comprising 68 people were also resettled to Khankendi.
