UNESCO to mark First Turkological Congress

An international event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress will be held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoty Raimkulova said during the plenary session held as part of Turkic World Week dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.

Axar.az informs, citing APA, she said that later this year, at the initiative of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, with the participation of Azerbaijan's Ministry of Culture, the Permanent Delegations of the Turkic states to UNESCO, and Turkic cooperation organizations, an international event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Congress is planned to be held at UNESCO headquarters in Paris.

She stressed that these initiatives will make a significant contribution to strengthening the shared cultural memory, further developing cooperation among the Turkic peoples, and promoting the historical significance of the First Turkological Congress more widely at the international level.
