976 tonnes of wheat shipped to Armenia via Azerbaijan

A freight train carrying wheat from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan has departed from the Bilajari station operated by Azerbaijan Railways (ADY).

Axar.az reports that the train, consisting of 14 wagons and carrying 976 tonnes of wheat, has been dispatched toward the Boyuk Kesik border station.

From Boyuk Kesik, the train will continue into Georgia before proceeding to Armenia.

To date, more than 35,000 tonnes of grain, nearly 8,000 tonnes of fertilizer, 133 tonnes of aluminum, 68 tonnes of buckwheat, and 414 tonnes of anthracite have been transported from Russia to Armenia via Azerbaijan.

In addition, Azerbaijan has so far exported more than 14,000 tonnes of diesel fuel and nearly 5,000 tonnes of AI-92 and AI-95 gasoline to Armenia.
