Qatar Airways flight diverts to Baku due to bad weather

A Qatar Airways flight operating from Doha to Tbilisi has landed at Heydar Aliyev International Airport in Baku after being diverted due to adverse weather conditions.

Axar.az reports, according to the Heydar Aliyev International Airport, that the captain of flight QTR253 decided to use Baku as the alternate airport because of unfavorable weather in Tbilisi.

The Airbus A320 landed safely at 20:23 local time, and the aircraft was serviced in accordance with standard procedures.

The flight is expected to continue to Tbilisi once weather conditions improve.
