Systematic efforts underway to repatriate Azerbaijani citizens

"Initial warnings are issued regarding dangerous regions," Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov said during a joint press conference with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ayman Al Safadi.

Axar.az reports, citing APА, the minister said that citizens are urged not to travel to dangerous regions:

"As soon as the first opportunity arose following the recent events in the Middle East, we began working on the evacuation of our citizens. Consular services were provided in various situations, and this activity will continue on a regular basis. In recent years, systematic work has been carried out in cooperation with various partners to identify Azerbaijani citizens living in conflict zones in different parts of the Middle East, areas where conflicts had already existed in the past, and to evacuate them, as well as to return Azerbaijani citizens in difficult situations to the country. Over the past years, the return of nearly 600 Azerbaijani citizens has been ensured, and this work continues today."
