Azerbaijan has started exporting plastic construction materials to Armenia.

Axar.az reports that according to the State Statistics Committee of Azerbaijan, the country exported 1.39 metric tons of plastic construction materials worth $5,910 to Armenia in June.

In total, the value of Azerbaijani exports to Armenia reached $17.129 million in January–June 2026. During the same period, goods indirectly imported from Armenia to Azerbaijan amounted to $960. However, no products were imported from Armenia in June.

In the first half of 2026, Azerbaijan's total foreign trade turnover increased by 1.1% year-on-year to $24.661 billion. Exports totaled $16.320 billion, while imports amounted to $8.341 billion.

Compared to the same period last year, exports rose by 26.7%, while imports fell by 27.6%.

During the reporting period, Azerbaijan's foreign trade surplus increased 5.9-fold, reaching $7.979 billion.
