Baku, Moscow to hold deputy PM talks in September

Taking into account the importance of regular contacts and the existing mechanisms of cooperation between Azerbaijan and Russia, a preliminary agreement has been reached between the two countries' deputy prime ministers to hold a meeting between Shahin Mustafayev and Alexey Overchuk in September this year.

Axar.az reports that Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov made the announcement during a joint press conference with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov in Moscow.

Bayramov said the meeting is expected to focus on cooperation in several areas:

“We also expect direct flights on certain routes, which have remained suspended since the restrictions imposed following the tragic plane crash in December 2024, to resume in the near future.”
