Captain killed in Odesa attack laid to rest in Azerbaijan

The body of Captain Samad Nasrullayev, who was killed in the attack on a vessel near Odesa, has been laid to rest in Azerbaijan's Lankaran district.

Axar.az reports that Nasrullayev's body was brought to Lankaran and handed over to his family in his hometown of Baligchilar.

He was later buried at the local cemetery in the settlement.

It should be noted that on July 14, the civilian cargo ship Atlas Bey, owned by Turkiye's Okean Maritime, came under a drone attack off the coast of Odesa, Ukraine. Eleven members of the vessel's crew were Azerbaijani citizens.
