Iran's national carrier, Homa (Iran Air), on Sunday operated its first scheduled flight of the year on the Tabriz-Baku-Mashhad route.
Axar.az reports, citing Iranian media, according to Iran Air's public relations office, the flight was introduced to facilitate travel for Azerbaijani pilgrims to the holy city of Mashhad as part of the airline's efforts to expand its pilgrimage flight network.
The launch of the route is part of Homa's broader plan to expand its international flight network and strengthen air links with neighboring countries.
In addition, Homa Airlines operates regular Tehran-Baku and Baku-Tehran flights on Mondays and Thursdays.
