Azerbaijan's population reaches 10.27 million

Azerbaijan's population increased by 9,287 people, or 0.1%, since the beginning of the year, reaching 10,271,638 as of June 1, 2026.

Axar.az reports, citing the State Statistics Committee, 54.3% of the country's population lives in urban areas, while 45.7% resides in rural areas. Men account for 49.8% of the population and women for 50.2%.
