Azerbaijan destroys imported Chinese panko batch

A shipment of panko breadcrumbs imported from China by Premium Food Baku LLC has been destroyed after failing food safety tests.

Axar.az reports that according to Azerbaijan's Food Safety Agency (AQTA), laboratory analysis found that the two-ton shipment, produced by Yantai Yuji Foodstuff Co., exceeded permissible limits for mold and yeast.

In accordance with the relevant legislation, the entire batch was destroyed.
