Construction advances on Aghdam-Khankendi railway -

Azerbaijan Railways (ADY) is continuing construction of the Aghdam–Khankendi railway line, which will become one of the new transport routes in the Garabagh region.

Axar.az reports that according to ADY, approximately 90% of the design work and nearly 44% of the construction and installation work have been completed.

The 30.8-kilometer railway line will include a total of 130 engineering structures, including six bridges, five road underpasses, two pedestrian underpasses, and 47 service crossings.

The conceptual designs for the Asgaran and Khojaly railway stations, which will be built along the Aghdam–Khankendi line, have already been completed. Construction of the Khankendi Railway and Bus Terminal Complex is progressing rapidly.

Once operational, the Aghdam–Khankendi railway is expected to improve transport accessibility in Garabagh, support the region's socio-economic development, and make a significant contribution to accelerating the Great Return process from Baku to Khankendi.
