3.6 magnitude earthquake hits Azerbaijan's Lerik district

A magnitude 3.1 earthquake struck Azerbaijan's Lerik district.

Axar.az informs that according to the Republican Seismological Service Center, the earthquake was recorded at 1:47 a.m. local time, 16 kilometers east of the Lerik seismic station, at a depth of 26 kilometers.

The tremor was not felt.

Another earthquake has been recorded in Lerik district.

According to the Earthquake Research Bureau of the Republican Seismological Service Center under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the quake occurred at 3:31 p.m. and had a magnitude of 3.6 at a depth of 24 kilometers.

The tremors were also felt in Lankaran.
