Azerbaijan recalls ambassador to Sweden

Zaur Rashid oglu Ahmadov has been recalled from his post as Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Sweden, as well as to Denmark, Finland and Norway.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to this effect.

Under another presidential decree, Elnur Ixtiyar oglu Sultanov was appointed Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Kingdom of Sweden.

It should be noted that Sultanov has served as Azerbaijan’s ambassador to Latvia since 2021.
