Azerbaijan recalls ambassador to Latvia

Elnur Ixtiyar oglu Sultanov has been recalled from his post as Azerbaijan’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Latvia.

Axar.az reports that President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree to this effect.

Under another presidential decree, Narmina Elsevar gizi Mustafayeva was appointed to the position.

It should be noted that Mustafayeva had served as Azerbaijan’s Consul General in Istanbul, Turkiye, since 2020.
