A farewell ceremony for Honored Journalist Tofigakhanim Gasimova (Nurani) was held at the Taza Pir Mosque.

Axar.az informs that Health Minister Teymur Musayev, Executive Director of the Media Development Agency Ahmad Ismayilov, media representatives, the deceased’s friends and public figures attended the ceremony.

Following the farewell ceremony, she was buried at Yasamal Cemetery next to her parents.

It should be noted that Nurani died today at the age of 56 after a prolonged illness at the hospital where she had been receiving treatment.

Born in 1970, T. Gasimova was a doctor by profession, but her strong interest in international politics and journalism led her to pursue a career in journalism.
