US companies to debut at arms exhibition in Baku

Prominent US defense firms SIG SAUER and Lockheed Martin will make their debut at the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition (ADEX 2026).

Axar.az informs, citing the exhibition's organizing committee, that ADEX 2026 has already confirmed participation from over 200 companies representing more than 20 countries, underscoring strong international interest.

This year, the active involvement of US companies is particularly noteworthy. Alongside them, the UK and Germany will also join ADEX for the first time, with Germany represented by Rheinmetall.

From Turkiye, major defense firms including ROKETSAN (the main sponsor), ASELSAN, BAYKAR, Turkish Aerospace Industries (TAI), and HAVELSAN will participate. Other traditional exhibitors include Leonardo (Italy), Excalibur Army (Czech Republic), EDGE Group (UAE), and INDRA (Spain).

In addition to individual companies, several countries - including Belarus, Czechia, Italy, Turkiye, and Slovakia - will showcase national pavilions, presenting defense industry products and technological solutions.

It should be noted that ADEX – the 6th Azerbaijan International Defence Exhibition, one of the most prestigious international events in the defence industry, the largest specialized exhibition of its kind in the Caucasus region, and a key platform for military-technical cooperation – will be held at the Baku Expo Center from September 30 to October 2.

Since the exhibition was first organized, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s visits to ADEX and his letters of welcome to the event’s participants and guests have demonstrated the high level of state attention to the exhibition. This not only reflects the strong confidence in the exhibition but also confirms its status as Azerbaijan’s internationally recognized national brand.

ADEX is organized at the initiative of and under the organization of the Ministry of Defence Industry of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the support of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
