Ankara festival opening to honor Uzeyir Hajibeyli

The opening of the famous “Kultur Yolu” Festival to be held in Ankara will be dedicated to the memory of the great Azerbaijani composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli.

Axar.az informs, citing the Azerbaijan Cultural Center operating under the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Turkiye, that the ceremony will be held as part of a joint project implemented by the Azerbaijan Cultural Center and the General Directorate of State Opera and Ballet of the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

The grand concert program titled “Two States – One Stage: Brotherly Songs” (Iki Devlet – Bir Sahne: Kardes Ezgiler) will take place on September 19 at the Main Hall of CSO Ada Ankara.

The concert, featuring the Ankara State Opera Orchestra and accompanied by the TRT United Choir, will be conducted by People’s Artist of Azerbaijan Yalchin Adigozalov and will feature renowned opera singers from Azerbaijan and Turkiye.

The program will include immortal works by great composer Uzeyir Hajibeyli, as well as selected works by Azerbaijani and Turkish composers.
