Magnitude 3.9 earthquake hits Shamakhi

A magnitude 3.9 earthquake was recorded in Azerbaijan’s Shamakhi district at 3:39 a.m. local time.

Axar.az reports according to the Earthquake Research Bureau of the Republican Seismic Service Center under the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the earthquake was recorded 23 kilometers southwest of the Pirgulu station.

The earthquake occurred at a depth of 14 kilometers.

The tremor was not felt.
