Two Azerbaijani sailors killed in drone attack -

A vessel carrying four Azerbaijani citizens was struck by drones near the Odesa port in the Black Sea yesterday morning.

Axar.az reports that the information was provided by the Public Union “Support for Azerbaijani Sailors.”

The vessel, the Somali-flagged tugboat TEDY (IMO 9059200), owned by Mert Marine Corporation, came under a drone attack. There were four Azerbaijani, three Turkish, two German and one Ukrainian citizens on board.

The damaged vessel was heading toward the port of Constanta overnight when it came under two more drone attacks. As a result, Azerbaijani sailors Aslan Aliyev and Asim Gasimov were killed.

The other two Azerbaijani citizens were hospitalized in Odesa with burn injuries.
