150 diplomats begin visit to Karabakh and East Zangazur -

A two-day visit by representatives of the diplomatic corps accredited in Azerbaijan to Karabakh and East Zangazur began on September 11.

Axar.az reports that the delegation is accompanied by Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev.

The delegation consists of 150 representatives from 58 countries and nine international organizations.

During the visit, the diplomatic representatives will familiarize themselves with social and economic infrastructure projects being implemented in Khankendi and Shusha, as well as in the Aghdara and Kalbajar districts, as part of the large-scale reconstruction, development and restoration efforts led by President Ilham Aliyev.

They will also inspect the current condition of historical and cultural heritage sites and the measures being taken to preserve and restore them.

This marks the 22nd visit by representatives of the diplomatic corps to territories liberated from occupation since 2020.
