Formula 1 races to be shortened by 15 kilometers

Formula 1 race distances will be shortened by 15 kilometers starting next season.

Axar.az reports that the International Automobile Federation (FIA) press service released the information.

Under the new rules, drivers will cover 290 kilometers instead of the previous 305 kilometers. The change will shorten races by two to three laps.

In addition, the three-hour limit on the total duration of a race will be abolished. However, races will not be allowed to last more than two hours from the start.
