A mine explosion has occurred in Azerbaijan’s Lachin district.

Axar.az reports that the press services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Prosecutor General’s Office and the Mine Action Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan (ANAMA) issued a statement.

According to the statement, the mine explosion occurred on September 25, 2026, in the area of Finga village in Lachin district, which was liberated from occupation.

A tractor driven by Ulfat Saday oghlu Guliyev, a resident of Agjabadi district born in 1992, struck a mine in an area that had not yet been cleared.

No one was injured in the incident.

The Lachin District Prosecutor’s Office is investigating the incident.

ANAMA, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Prosecutor General’s Office once again urge citizens to follow safety rules, pay close attention to mine warning signs, avoid touching suspicious objects, stay out of unfamiliar areas, and refrain from entering areas where fencing work is underway.
