Power of Unity-2026 exercise held in Khojavand

The Power of Unity-2026 joint military exercise is being held in Azerbaijan’s Khojavand district.

Axar.az reports that Anar Eyvazov, head of the Press and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Defense, said at a briefing that this is the first large-scale military exercise of its kind to be held in Azerbaijan’s liberated territories.

According to him, the exercise demonstrates the characteristics of hybrid warfare.

Military personnel from Azerbaijan, Turkiye, and Uzbekistan are taking part in the exercise.

Iran, Slovakia, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Georgia, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, Serbia, and the United Arab Emirates are participating as observers.

Anar Eyvazov noted that the exercise involves 3,579 personnel, 135 unmanned vehicles, 76 armored vehicles, 94 artillery systems, 27 aircraft, 34 electronic warfare/electronic intelligence/radio-electronic warfare systems, 18 air defense systems, eight sets of engineering equipment, and 25 naval assets.
