Another Azerbaijani killed on Ukrainian front

Another Azerbaijani national has been killed in the fighting in Ukraine.

Axar.az reports that Zaur Habibov, who had lived in the Ukrainian city of Zhovti Vody for many years, was killed on the front line.

Habibov began defending Ukraine in 2014, when he took part in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO). After the full-scale war began in February 2022, he returned to military service in June of that year and continued carrying out combat missions on the front line.

On September 10, 2026, Habibov went missing while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Druzhkivka in Donetsk region. His death was officially confirmed several days ago.
