As part of the Azerbaijani government’s repatriation efforts, 13 more Azerbaijani citizens — six women and seven children — who were brought back to Azerbaijan from the Syrian Arab Republic have been placed at an appropriate social services facility operated by the Social Services Agency.

Axar.az reports that the repatriates underwent initial medical examinations at the facility and received the necessary support to assess their social and psychological well-being.

Work on their social rehabilitation is currently ongoing. Once the rehabilitation process is completed, the citizens will be sent to their homes.

At the next stage, social workers and psychologists from the Agency will visit them at home to assess their individual circumstances and determine appropriate social support measures based on their needs.

It should be noted that in recent years, more than 630 people repatriated to Azerbaijan have benefited from social rehabilitation services provided by the Social Services Agency. Social rehabilitation measures are currently being carried out for 85 repatriates.
