Tokayev calls for C6 trade to reach $20 billion

President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has proposed adopting a joint action plan aimed at increasing the trade turnover in the C6 region (Central Asian countries and Azerbaijan - ed.) to $20 billion at the 8th Consultative Meeting of the Heads of State of Central Asia and Azerbaijan in Turkmenistan.

Axar.az informs, citing Repоrt, that he emphasized that in 2025, the volume of trade between the countries of the region amounted to about $13 billion:

"This is about 8% of the total trade turnover of our states. Therefore, I propose instructing the governments to develop and adopt a joint action plan aimed at increasing this figure to at least $20 billion with a consistent increase in the share of mutual trade."
