Ibad Huseynov, who was detained in Georgia, has been released with the support of the Azerbaijani Embassy and has returned to Azerbaijan.

Axar.az reports, citing APА, that, answering journalists’ questions at the airport, Huseynov said he had immediately informed the Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia about what had happened.

“Our embassy intervened promptly. With the support of the embassy and its representatives, I was taken out of there and brought to the embassy, where the necessary measures were taken,” he said.

Huseynov added that he had asked why he was detained but had not been given any explanation.
