Armenia confirms transfer of Azerbaijani citizen

Armenia has returned an Azerbaijani citizen who crossed the border into its territory.

Axar.az reports, citing Armenia’s National Security Service, that Yashar Ali oglu Gasimov, an Azerbaijani citizen who went missing and was later found in Armenia’s Tavush region, was handed over to the relevant Azerbaijani authorities on October 24.

It was previously reported that both Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the country’s National Security Service had announced that Azerbaijani shepherd Yashar Ali oglu Gasimov would be returned.
